One package angle hair cabbage
One small bunch broccoli, cut up
1.5 - 2 apples, chopped
One package honey dried cranberries and almonds (salad topping)
Dressing:
1 -1.5 cups mayo or miracle whip (I used some of both)
3 tbls honey
3 tbls sugar (or to taste)
3 tbls lime juice
2 tbls cider vinegar
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp dried mustard
1/4 tsp celery salt
1/4 tsp groung nutmeg
Salt and pepper to taste
Chop apples and soak in cool salt water. Rinse and cut up broccoli tops. You can also peel and chop the stems for a nice crunchy addition to the salad. Mix cabbage and broccoli. Drain but don't rinse apples. Add to cabbage and broccoli. For Dressing combine mayo, honey, seasoning and some of the sugar. Wisk in lime juice. Gradually add vinegar and sugar until consistency and taste is right for you. Right before serving, add cranberries and almonds, and dressing. Mix well. Salad and dressing can be made ahead and refrigerated over night.
